The program equips registered nurses and social care workers with skills to support their role in the aged care sector, with real-life scenarios and hands-on support to ensure our prospective carers are indeed inducted and trained in accordance with the strengthened aged care quality standards.

The secret to the success of this collaboration lies in the immersive development experience of face-to-face training. Candidates are issued e-learning modules 28 days prior to the course in order that they have the foundational education of technical information in relation to infection control practice, safety and quality practices, compliances within aged care, moving and handling theory, mental capacity assessment, and other technical domains.

During the face-to-face course, this baseline educational foundation is then built upon to teach course delegates the finer aspects of care and support, including specific support for older people living on a dementia journey. The cultural differences between the regulated social care system overseas and the unregulated system in India are also bridged by a specialist cultural trainer, with over two decades of experience with The Oberoi Hospitality Group (EIHCL), Taj Group (IHCL), Apollo Hospitals, and Indraprastha.

The collaboration has thus far delivered scores of inducted professionals to care settings in the United Kingdom.
